Role Overview:

SummitStone Health Partners is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and strengthen the agency’s non-clinical operations in support of high-quality, integrated behavioral health care across Northern Colorado. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the COO will provide strategic oversight to ensure organizational systems, infrastructure, and processes effectively support service delivery, regulatory excellence, and long-term sustainability.

This role is ideal for a collaborative and visionary leader who thrives in a fast-paced, value-driven environment and is passionate about improving community health. • Collaborate with clinical and program leaders to build and maintain the operational infrastructure necessary to support integrated models of behavioral health, substance use treatment, and primary care.
  • Lead efforts to track, analyze, and act on key performance indicators related to service efficiency, resource utilization, administrative productivity, and operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and delivery of organizational policies and operational procedures that support compliance, consistency, and a high standard of support services.
  • Deliver high-impact presentations and strategic insights to the Board of Directors, leadership teams, and stakeholders while modeling a collaborative, values-based, and inclusive leadership style.
  • Represent SummitStone in operational matters with community partners, government agencies, vendors, and funders to support strategic initiatives and reinforce organizational credibility.

Required:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Administration, or related field required
  • More than 10 years of senior leadership experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or a complex nonprofit environment required
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing multi-site operations and leading cross-functional teams
  • Proven success in strategic planning, compliance leadership, and organizational development.
  • A combination of education and experience may evaluated and considered
