About The Role

In this role, youll create the user experience for Archie, shaping and building how he interacts with individuals and engineering teams. Working within a small, tightly-knit team of high-performers, youll be principally responsible for Archies interactions through dedicated UIs, communications platforms (e.g.: Slack, Teams), work management systems, and more. Youll lead the development of other UIs that are useful for admins, developers, our evals specialists, and others. Youll also play a crucial role in collaborating closely with our expert AI specialists to ensure that Archie uses learned context and memory to always be up-to-speed when working within an engineering team. Your work will directly impact Archies effectiveness and user adoption, transforming how engineering teams collaborate with AI and accelerate the advancement of the built world.

This role is remote and you can be based anywhere in the US or Canada, where you must have existing work authorization. You will be expected to travel to our San Francisco office for co-working sessions approximately one week out of every six. If you are already located in the SF Bay Area or are interested in relocation, you are of course welcome to work out of our SF office.

Responsibilities

• Implement dedicated UIs for interactions with Archie
• Implement interactions with communications platforms, work management systems, and other platforms where engineering teams will interact with Archie
• Ensure that Archie brings the right context to every interaction, in order to be an informed and up-to-speed member of the team.
• Occasionally create prototypes and mockups to anchor conversations and experiments around complex user interaction challenges

Skills

• Proficiency in developing and designing user interfaces and user-interactive software.
• Ability to identify and address complex UI/UX challenges.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and modern software development tools and practices (Git, CI/CD, etc.)
• Proficiency with one or more front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Svelte, Vue.js.
• Good communication skills with a variety of stakeholders (AI researchers, domain experts, backend developers).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

Compensation

$160k-$200k. This role includes a significant equity component. We are an early-stage startup, so we favor equity over cash in our current compensation philosophy. You should too, or an early-stage startup might not be for you. That said, we expect cash compensation to progress quickly as the company matures.
