Job Description

The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join a new cyber security program and play a key role in supporting government-critical systems. You will be part of a program that oversees development, integration, delivery, and operations and maintenance of IT managed security services, which encompasses support to monitor the cybersecurity threat and security posture situational awareness for the enterprise. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award! Responsibilities include assisting in implementation, security, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure; applying expertise in network architecture, security, automation, and cloud networking to ensure high availability, performance, and security; overlooking operations, troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing performance, and guiding IT teams in best practices; deploying and maintaining enterprise-level LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless networks; managing and optimizing network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs; overseeing cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) including hybrid cloud integrations; developing and enforcing network segmentation, access control, and zero-trust security models; implementing network security best practices, firewall policies, IDS/IPS, and NAC solutions; conducting regular network vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk mitigation; ensuring compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2); collaborating with cybersecurity teams to detect and mitigate network threats; monitoring network traffic, bandwidth usage, and performance metrics; automating network configurations and management tasks using scripting tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform); optimizing VoIP, QoS, and video conferencing solutions; leading incident response efforts for major network outages, security breaches, or performance issues; troubleshooting complex Layer 2/3 network issues and coordinating resolution with vendors; maintaining disaster recovery and failover strategies to ensure network resilience. Requirements include active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance, U.S. Citizenship, Bachelor's degree with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience or Master's with 2 to 6 years of relevant experience (experience may be considered in lieu of degree). Preferred certifications include CCNP or CCIE, JNCIP or JNCIE, PCNSE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, and CISSP with networking focus.
