About this Role

Wood Acres School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits through engaging and age-appropriate activities. This role involves planning and leading PE classes for students across PreK through 8th Grade, encouraging sportsmanship and physical development in a positive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver structured PE lessons for elementary and middle school students
  • Promote physical activity, healthy habits, and teamwork
  • Organize games, sports, and fitness activities
  • Ensure student safety and proper equipment use
  • Collaborate with school staff on special events and field days

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field
  • Teaching Certification 
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Passion for working with children and fostering a love for fitness
